Finally, I have Peace! – Testimony

My name is Rick Lopez (my wife’s is Andrea) and we are from the Imperial Beach, CA church pastored by  a wonderful and outstanding man of God Christien Sims and is wife Shannon Bucholz.

I have been saved now for four years and I have to confess that is has been a difficult four years. Though we rejoice in our salvation…Truth… is Powerful, and through Truth, Wisdom is inevitable… You see, the more I come to understand God’s word, the more I come to understand what is the nature of carnality and it’s sinful, “rebellious” humanial agendas thereof, (deviously inspired by the cowardly demoniac aka satan)  and how importantly vital it is to have a personal relationship with Christ in order to secure our salvation til’ His rapture. My wife and I have come to a limited understanding of our required sacrifices and learned to accept them as the Lord demands. My wife and I have been blessed with the revelation that as we sacrifice, we gain, so we don’t call them “Sacrifices” anymore we call them “Gainings”.  We know that these sacrifices in our present lives have absolute no value in our spirits, but only to our flesh, so we truly rejoice when we are counted to suffer for the Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have titled this testimony “Finally, I have Peace” because for the first time in my Christian walk i have come to a point where I feel transparent before the Lord Jesus and I can finally here His voice speaking to me. (well, it sounds like my thought-voice but I know it’s God’s) and also God has wonderfuly kindled the Spirit of Love in my life and has given to me and my wife a stronger and more defined Love in our marriage which has raised the standards in all aspects of our relationship. Just in that alone I feel forever in debt to God Amen. Because of fine discipling and proeffecient Bible teaching, Freely I can say I am enslaved, through Love, and by dying to this world, I now have Life in this world, through Christ Jesus. “Truly…Truly… My wife and I live in Peace. Scriptures for deliverance from Depression

Here are some scriptures to help those who may be struggling with this issue.

Christ knows how you feel…
Psalm 69:20-21 Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked [for someone] to take pity, but [there was] none; And for comforters, but I found none. 21 They also gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. (NKJV)

God’s Word gives strength and and joy…
Psalm 119:28 My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. (NKJV)

Part of Christ’s mission is the healing of the depression…
Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” (NKJV)

Strength over depression can be found in the joy of the Lord when you put your trust in God…
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for [this] day [is] holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (NKJV)
